LAMBSWEAR

Lambswear has been one of our local partners since 2017. We have volunteered hundreds of hours to help Lambswear fulfill its mission of clothing children in need throughout the Indianapolis area. 

Most of the hours we have volunteered have come from our small groups at Parkside taking a night off from their normal routine of gathering together to go and serve our community the organizations like Lambswear. 

Lambswear Inc. was founded while working on a project for Outlook Christian Church. Outlook Christian Church encouraged their members during the month of September 2012 to get out into the community and make a difference. Heidi Taylor and Katie Caplinger decided that during the month they would collect gently used children's clothing and provide them to foster children. When the month was over they didn't feel that the project should end and Lambswear Inc. was born.
 
Even though Lambswear Inc. started out being only for foster children, they quickly realized that there are more than foster children that need a hand up and turned their focus to helping all children. The name Lambswear comes from the word "lamb" which refers to Psalm 23 "The Lord is my Shepherd" and "wear" from the clothing we wear.
