The Two Ways Christians Lose Battles

Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6 that the Christian life is not passive—it is a battle. The danger is not just losing, but misunderstanding the fight altogether: we either overestimate the enemy and live in fear, or underestimate him and live unprepared. Victory is not automatic, even though Jesus has already secured it; we must actively “put on the armor” by embracing our new identity in Christ. This happens practically through transformed character and a vibrant prayer life.
