Prayers from the Cross

Today we’ll walk with Jesus through the emotional, physical, and spiritual depths of Psalm 22, where He identifies with human suffering and abandonment. This psalm moves from lament to confidence, showing how Psalms 23–24 and 20–21 answer the cry of Psalm 22 with the presence, victory, and kingship of God. Jesus not only prayed these Psalms but fulfilled them, entering our pain and overcoming death. Because He now lives and intercedes for His people (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25), we can bring our deepest anguish to God and find hope beyond it.
