Live On Mission - Part 1

Jesus' life provides the clearest picture of what God is like, and one of the most surprising aspects of His ministry was that He was known as "a friend of sinners." His critics accused Him of compromising because He spent so much time with tax collectors and outcasts, but Jesus insisted that the wisdom of God was being vindicated by His actions. The gospel invitation begins with "Come and see" before it becomes "Come and die," meaning authentic relationships frequently precede deeper discipleship. If we want to live as Jesus lived, we must intentionally pursue friendships with people who think differently, live differently, and may not even like us.
